Welcome to Red & The Wolf.
This is a het community for Harry Potter fanfic writers, artists, readers, and art lovers who have a soft spot for Remus Lupin and Lily Potter, whether they are paired romantically or not. We’ll be hosting challenges where you can flex your crative muscles (and get a fic or art fix), as well as offering a number of free-days (or Hogsmeade Trips) where you’ll be free to post anything you’ve written that meets the community requirements.
Despite the rather shippy name, we’re very open about the kind of fics and art we’d like to accept. Remus/Lily is more than welcome, but so are Remus or Lily-centric (fics/art dealing with either of them at Hogwarts or as children, general Marauder-era fics/art that feature one or both of them, what either of them did during the first war, fics/art that deal with Remus between the first war and PoA, fics/art that cover Remus’ role in PoA and beyond). We’re also keen to accept Remus/Tonks fics and art with a Remus/Lily back-story, or Lily/James fics and art which feature Remus in some capacity other than as a background character (Remus/Lily back-story, or a love triangle, friendship fics/art, or UST).
As there are a couple of great Remus/Tonks challenge communities up and running (
metamorfic_moon and rt_challenge) already, fics and art that are solely R/T won’t be accepted, although ones that deal with Remus in OoTP or HBP which mention or deal with the relationship won’t be rejected, as long as the relationship is not the focus of the piece.
There are also many communities that feature Remus/Sirius. We've nothing against slash; but we are trying to do something different here, so we do stipulate that slash should not be the primary relationship in postings to this community.

We accept all ratings, with one small caveat - we don't accept fics rated NC-17 (for sexual content) where one or both of the characters is under 18. Please give proper warnings for anything rated R or NC-17 (violence, sex, excessive strong or bad language), and please mention any pairings in the summary. All fics should be placed under a cut.
